DelawareLegal.help
Contract
A Delaware-only site for an affiliate selling prepaid legal memberships, covering DUI and traffic defence, family law, estate planning, real estate, business legal and civil litigation, with membership tiers and coverage across New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties.
The problem
Affiliate sites for this category all look the same, and buyers have learned to recognise the pattern within seconds: a stock hero, a wall of benefit bullets, three pricing cards, and a sign-up link on every surface. The client's explicit requirement was a site that did not read as an affiliate funnel, because in a category where the visitor is already anxious about cost and credibility, looking like a funnel is what loses them.
Approach
- 01
Structured the site by the problem a resident arrives with — a DUI charge, a custody dispute, a will — rather than by the product tiers being sold.
- 02
Gave each Delaware county its own coverage surface, so local search had something specific to rank and visitors could confirm the service reaches them.
- 03
Kept the membership plans as one honest comparison rather than repeating pricing cards on every page.
- 04
Wrote the practice-area pages to answer the question first and introduce the membership second.

Outcome

In short
How do you make an affiliate site not look like an affiliate site?
Stop organising it around the offer. A typical affiliate build is structured by the product tiers and repeats the sign-up call on every surface, which is exactly the shape visitors have learned to distrust. Structuring by the visitor's actual problem instead — the charge they are facing, the dispute they are in, the county they live in — produces a different information architecture, not just a different skin: pages that answer a question before introducing a plan, coverage that is specific enough to be verifiable, and pricing presented once and honestly rather than repeated as pressure. The commercial mechanism is unchanged; what changes is whether the site earns enough trust to reach it.
